The 2005-06 season for Fiorentina was a season of ups and downs for the team and for Martin Jorgensen.
The team, led by Cesare Prandelli, showed an offensive and spectacular game, thanks in particular to the attacking duo of Luca Toni and Christian Riganò. However, the team also suffered numerous defeats, which led to a ninth place in the league.
In the Coppa Italia, Fiorentina was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Juventus.
As for Martin Jorgensen, the Danish midfielder had an up-and-down season. Jorgensen was often used as a winger, but also as an attacking midfielder and as a mezzala. His performances were characterized by some flashes of class, but also by periods of dismal form.
Jorgensen made 28 appearances in the league, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists. In the Coppa Italia, he played 4 games, scoring one goal.
