Juventus’ 2004-2005 season was a special one, marked by events that later led to the revocation of the Scudetto.
Championship
Juventus won the title of Italian champion, finishing first in the standings. However, this Scudetto was later revoked following the Calciopoli scandal.

Juventus’ journey in the Coppa Italia ended in the round of 16.
Champions League
Juventus reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where they were eliminated by Liverpool.
Paolo Montero
Paolo Montero, a Uruguayan defender, played for Juventus from 1996 to 2005. The 2004-2005 season was therefore one of his last seasons in black and white.
Montero was a tough and feisty central defender, much appreciated by fans for his fighting spirit and temperament. He was known for his tough interventions and his ability to mark opponents.
In the 2004-2005 season, Montero played several matches, contributing to the conquest of the Scudetto (later revoked) and the reaching of the Champions League quarter-finals.
Although not a regular starter, Montero always gave his all when called upon, demonstrating his attachment to the shirt and his professionalism.
After Juventus
After leaving Juventus in 2005, Montero played for Peñarol in Uruguay, where he ended his career in 2007.
